The Shack (a book review)
It usually takes a while for me to do what everyone else is doing (i.e., bandwagons); but, I'm glad I jumped on this one. I read the book, "The Shack," over Thanksgiving break. The author is Wm. Paul Young (Published by Windblown Media). I'm not going to do what "reviewers" often do and give away the whole plot. Just think of this as one of those "there is a bandwagon rolling on this one for a reason" type of situations.

I read the book because I heard such mixed reviews...on one end, people that I really respect called it heresy, on the other, musicians that I listened to on WBVN called it life changing. So I read it...in 2 sittings. I explain it as pastoral but not theological. It would definitely help someone grieving loss, but we shouldn't think we can learn about who God is from it...its not Biblical theology...but entertaining nonetheless...glad I found your blog.
I read it months ago, thought it was quite amazing myself. My mother encouraged me to read it, and I've urged others to do so, too.
