Sitting Up

First things first. Somehow this weekend we ran off without our camera----for Harvey's first Halloween, his great grandmother's 90th birthday, and so many fabulous photo opps, wardrobe changes, and precious moments we will never get back. So maybe its not that dramatic, and maybe there were plenty of others there with their cameras, but still---what kind of parents are we?! As soon as we get some pictures from this weekend I'll be sure to put them on here. In the mean time, we have posted a video of Harvey in his costume playing his new favorite game.

As I mentioned before, Harvey is sitting up like a big boy (mostly). It's kind of hard to take pictures of him sitting because I'm usually running defense making sure he doesn't topple. As you witnessed in the video, I've started a bad habit/game. He likes to sit up and then push back on purpose so I can sit him up real fast. It usually works, except when mom is trying to take a picture and you fall. Big time. Harvey experienced his first Big Bang yesterday while I was shooting a few photos. He had been falling over onto the carpet and that didn't bother him. Then all the sudden he pushed back really hard and smacked his head/rolled onto his face on the hardwood floor. Not quite the ending he had in mind. Here are some sweet photos before he knocked his block off.

Already have him playing with dolls. Seriously, he loves this thing!

He's also just recently discovered his feet. I think his chubby little legs made that discovery take a bit longer than usual. Either way, he LOVES checking out his feet. Sometimes there are toes to play with, sometimes there are stripe-y socks, sometimes different color socks, sometimes pj feet. Hours and hours of endless entertainment. If only we were all so easily entertained..........and so limber.
