Happy 4th of July!

I am so behind on blogging and photo editing, that I am simply avoiding both. That should make it all better, right? If you just ignore a problem long enough, it's totally solved. I still have photos from my family's photo shoot, New Orleans photos, and over 600 photos from the wedding last weekend to get to. But I decided I would just stop putting so much pressure on myself and show you some fun photos from this weekend. Gotta get out of the rut sometime. I think.

We got up early on Saturday (thanks Harv!), had a quick breakfast, and then we went for a drive. We ended up at the park, Harvey in his pajamas. Awesome. (Side note: this morning, Harvey was running around the house in that same pajama top with a rather large diet coke spot on it, and a diaper with no pants. Red.neck.baby).

Check out that wild baby mullet blowing in the wind.

After the park, we stopped by a bakery close to our house for a little mid morning snack.

After that, it was still only 10:30am (again, up so early), so we all went home and laid down for a bit, had lunch, and went to the pool for awhile. Perfect Saturday.

Today we discovered the best things in life are free. Including toys. (Try not to judge these next few photos----the lighting in his play room is not the best.)

We just tossed in a few of his favorite things and voila! Instant playpen/babysitter. Bye bye Harvey! Mommy and daddy are going to dinner. You just stay in your box and play!

And here are a few "festive" Fourth of July photos.

This is real life here. Harv fighting us, dying to get down and.....sit? Still can't walk. Oh how he would love to finally be able to walk away from us. Don't worry Harvey, we're everywhere! You won't be getting away from us for a long time.

He can stand by himself now. Until he realizes he's doing it. Then he hits the deck. Man, check out that stance. That's exactly how I stand. Belly out, booty out, hands up, and spread those feet. Natural model stance.

No Fourth of July festivities for us this year. We were going to be brave and go see the fireworks, but Harvey is cutting 4 molars. And, he usually goes to bed at 7:30. So the 9:30 firework show sounded like trouble. Maybe next year! Hope you all had a fun fourth!
