A Year in the Life

Harvey's First Annual Birthday Bash was yesterday. Today we are cleaning up and transitioning our boy from a baby to a "big boy". Today we rearranged our furniture to give him his very own official play room, took down his Fredbird mobile, turned his car seat around, and only gave him one bottle. It's all kind of sad, but very necessary. So very bitter sweet to watch your children grow up.

Currently I am sorting through 392 photos from his party to share with you on here. That project may take a couple of days, so I have something else to share. As you know, every month on the 6th I do a little photo shoot with him to show how he has grown from the last month. For his birthday, I made a banner with one photo from every month, starting with the day he was born and ending with a photo from his first birthday. I loved making this banner and being able to see how he changed each and every month, and to be able to remember some very special moments from this past year. And it was fun to share those memories with our friends and family. I think this is a tradition we're going to keep. I think each year I'll make a banner and start with a photo from his birthday the year before, and then share a special photo that was taken each month, up to his new birthday photo.
