Harvey's First Rams Game

Today the Rams played the Titans here in Nashville. Since the Rams are our family NFL team (chosen by John), we decided we should go and support them while they're in our home town. Got to make sure we get in all the major sporting events before Harvey turns 1!

Such a great thing for John to be able to share with his son.

You think this kid was having fun? Such a performer for the camera. He thinks we bought the new big camera just so he could try out some new faces.

Man, the pictures I post (and don't delete) all because Harvey is too cute. So much to sacrifice when you're a mother.

Harvey was SO over it by the time we had a family photo. But I figure this is real life, might as well capture him "as is". And yes, our seats were in fact very close to heaven. The red fencing you see behind us is the fencing that goes all the way around the top of the stadium to keep people from falling off. I was so nervous the whole time we were up there. We wanted to stand up and turn around for our photo so we could get the field in the background, but I was not about to turn around and fall to my death (I know, just a tad dramatic. But that's how I roll).

The view from the top.

Learning how to use the manual setting on my camera. Amazing how changing one little thing changes the entire outcome.

(For this one I moved down the bridge a little and zoomed in).

This was quite a labor of love. So, Harvey obviously can't walk, you can't take a stroller to a football game, and you definitely can't just carry him 1 mile from the car to the stadium. The Side Rider seemed like the obvious choice, and it was really the only option. But I really overestimated my overall physical fitness and underestimated how heavy this kid is. I thought I was going to DIE by the time I hauled him from the car to the stadium, up all the ramps to the top section, and then up ALL the stairs to the next-to-top row. For real, couldn't breath. Must have been the altitude getting to me. Needless to say, John took him (down the stairs and downhill mind you) back to the car. We will definitely be using the Side Rider often because it is nice to have your hands free, but John will have to handle the longer pilgrimages.

My man, leading me home.

So, I'm a friend of Johns from high school and started following the blog when he was updating on the pregnancy, etc. I have to tell you that you crack me up. I check back on a regular basis because I just love how you write and the pictures you take are incredible!
