After being oppressed his entire life, Nolan was finally able to openly support his favorite baseball team: the St Louis Cardinals. Don't be fooled by the Cubs bib---his mom totally made him wear it. Don't worry little Nolan, our home is a safe place for Cardinals fans.
This morning we took Harvey to church for the first time. He's still too little to go to the nursery (not to mention over protective mom here isn't quite ready), so he had to go to "Big Church" and be quiet. Quite a gamble since his mornings seem to be hit or miss, but we were up for the challenge. All in all, he wasn't too bad. He started to get a little grouchy right when the message started, and then we had a small wrestling match towards the end when he was tired and fighting sleep. There were no major melt downs, so we consider it a success! When I was putting him in the car afterwards, I told him since he was such a good little boy, he could have lunch today! You've got to start scaring them early. Make him think lunch (a basic daily need) is a treat for behaving, that way he won't want to find out what happens if he's bad.
Since we take pictures of absolutely everything now, here are some from this morning before church.
Everyone note the look on Harvey's face in this picture. He's not really sure if he knows this man that's holding him. He claims his name is "Dad". He looks familiar, but it's hard to say.....................
