Today was "Dr Day" for our family. John took the day off so we could take Harvey to have an ultrasound on his hips (standard since he was breech), and then I had my 6 week check up. My doctor wanted us to bring him in so she could meet him (I figure it's the least we could do), and both doctors were in downtown Nashville, so we made a day of it. We went back to Vandy to have Harvey's checkup first. We were in, out and done there in less than 30 minutes. Impressive! He did very well, and we found out this afternoon that everything is perfect.
We then went to Pancake Pantry for lunch. Harvey thoroughly enjoyed the Pantry----mostly because they have ceiling fans and he got to have a bottle.
Waiting in line at Pancake Pantry, just like everyone else.
Enjoying some Pancake Pantry cuisine.
After lunch we went to my appointment, then we ran a couple more errands before we finally returned home. We were home for a couple hours to recharge and then we went to our friends Dan and Kali's house for dinner. He was so good and calm all day today, I thought for sure he would lose his cool during dinner. But he was perfect! We did catch a few interesting photos after dinner.
Dan is one of the very few men that has been willing to hold him, and Harvey was eating it up! He was so calm and relaxed and even gave Dan a few smiles. Dan is going to be a daddy in a few months, so it was some fun practice for him. Then there is this:
Harvey was suddenly not so sure about this guy.............
Here's Kali watching her baby's daddy's skills. Oh yeah, she's impressed! :) They're going to be such good parents!
All in all, Harvey had a wonderful day! After yesterday's little display, I was definitely nervous to take him out today. But he was a complete angel all day. You just ever know what you're going to get with him---he keeps us on our toes!
I loved his "big boy" outfit today, so here are some more pictures.
